New Designs for 2011

NEW OFFERINGS FOR FALL 2011:

Design Director at Wood~Mode, John Troxell, and a group of Wood~Mode engineers attended the Cologne International Furniture Show in January of this year and returned with design inspirations. At they show they saw contrast of textures, cabinetry used as abstract art, beautifully designed cabinetry storage walls used to create room dividers and use of strong horizontal lines. The color palettes of greys, taupes, earthtones and metallics show the design market getting back to basics and some vignettes showed a bold splash of color, mostly purple.

There were lots of natural materials combined with the use of glass and stone. LED lighting was used in creative ways, especially since this technology of lighting does not emit heat like it's cousins xenon and halogen.

“We’re continuing to see an interest in timeless, traditional designs that bring with them a sense of history and stability,” states John Troxell, Wood-Mode’s Director of Design. “At the same time,” he adds, “there’s also a group of people looking toward the future—individuals seeking cutting-edge, contemporary design. Keeping in mind the desires of its clientele and their coinciding sensitivity to economic issues, Wood-Mode’s new Design Themes span broad budgets and tastes alike.”

Below are the latest cabinetry additions that will be available in August 2011:

NEW OFFERINGS FOR JANUARY 2011:

Each year the kitchen & bath cabinetry manufacturers that we represent attend the furniture market and create styles & finishes to complement the latest in home furnishings. Time is spent on R & D, prototypes are made and after several refinements they produce vignettes to give designers a sneak peak of the newest offerings.

On this page we photography of vignettes from the manufacturers from 2010 that we represent showing the latest styles and colors available in kitchen & bath design for 2011. It's also a peek into one resource from which we draw inspiration each year.

The emerging trend of today's interior is easy elegance - whether it be contemporary or traditional in styling.  The details are restrained, yet striking.

The first ten vignettes are from
Wood~Mode and Brookhaven

SOUTHERN RESERVE COLLECTION - This elegantly traditional design draws its inspiration from such key southern coastal cities as New Orleans and Charleston.

Wood~Mode has introduced a new rubbed finish, Antique Leather, that creates the aura of fine burnished furniture with a higher sheen and Gothic Chippendale mullion.
